Challenge

One of clients came to us with a question: how could they utilize virtual reality technology in their organization? With potential for use in sales scenarios, training, and exhibitions, there are many possibilities for how a large, international, B2B company could integrate VR into their organization. So where should they start?

Solution

To align the top marketing decision makers within the organization, W facilitated a one day workshop. The idea was to raise awareness about VR technology and create a common platform to discuss and from which to generate ideas for potential implementation within the organization. Together with our specialist partner, we designed a day of education and interaction – and of course that included a live demo where the workshop participants tried out various VR and augmented reality solutions for themselves.

Participants were also challenged with more focused activities where they needed to use their newfound knowledge to generate ideas around useful applications of this technology within their organization.

Result

With an improved understanding of VR and its capabilities and tools, the participants identified several key applications of VR technology relevant to their business reality. Together, we will refine these proposals and bring VR into our client’s marketing mix.
