Challenge

PALEXIA® depot is used in adults for the treatment of severe chronic pain. W was asked by Grünenthal to develop a ‘mini’ campaign aimed at General Practitioners (GPs) to communicate the benefits of PALEXIA® depot in patients suffering from severe long-term pain.

Background

Grunenthal Palexia<sup>®</sup> depot
PALEXIA® depot is prolonged-release treatment that offers effective pain control in patients suffering with conditions such as lower back pain. It is documented that as many as 2 out 3 patients suffering with chronic pain do not receive pain treatment to that delivers adequate pain relief of their symptoms. By increasing the awareness of PALEXIA® depot amongst GPs, Grünenthal has been able to highlight that there is an additional therapeutic option for those patients continuing to experience pain symptoms despite being prescribed pain therapy.

Solution

To increase the awareness of PALEXIA® depot amongst target GPs, W developed a series of promotional materials including a sequential direct mailing campaign, a leave behind and meeting booking letter. The primary focus of the materials was to provide GPs with key information on how to initiate patients on PALEXIA® depot, as well as including key information on the clinical benefits of PALEXIA® depot in patients with severe chronic pain.

Result

A series of PALEXIA® depot GP promotional materials to communicate to target GPs the clinical benefits of PALEXIA® depot in patients with severe chronic pain and to motivate them to request further information about the brand.
